There's still time to join the Fourth of July Float Parade!

The registration deadline has been extended to Friday, June 26, giving families, businesses, organizations and community groups extra time to take part in this one-of-a-kind tradition.

On Saturday, July 4, Lakeside, the Village of Marblehead and Danbury Township will come together for a peninsula-wide Float Parade celebrating America's 250th anniversary.

The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at James Park in Marblehead and travels west to Lakeside’s Second Street Gates, featuring festive floats, decorated golf carts, antique cars and plenty of red, white and blue spirit.

Participation is free, but registration is required by June 26: lakesideohio.com/paraderegistration2026.

Spend a few hours each week investing in your growth, future and leadership potential.

Young adults ages 18-24 working in Lakeside and beyond the gates are invited to join the Lakeside Leadership Academy this summer.

Participants will gain:
✅ A deeper understanding of their strengths through the CliftonStrengths Assessment
✅ Practical leadership skills they can apply right away
✅ Career insights from the Harvard Business School CareerLeader Assessment
✅ A mentor invested in their success
✅ Connections with other ambitious young adults
✅ Meaningful conversations with leaders about navigating challenges and career growth

On Friday, July 3, Lakesiders and their pet pals are invited to gather on the Cannon Lawn before parading through Bettinger Park and ending at the Steele Memorial Bandstand. There, pets can showcase their favorite tricks, fanciest costumes and unique personalities.
