Our School Board has promised to pay this year’s bond amount down for years and even though inflation is through the roof this year, we are staying true to our word.

These bonds were drawn before almost any of us were on the school board and we are doing the best we can with the decisions made then.

Taxpayers in Big Hollow Elementary District 38 got an early holiday present from the school board.

Today the board voted to implement a situational masking plan, that uses data, not politics, to decide whether or not our kids wear masks. Kids will be mask optional (except for buses) starting tomorrow. This was a difficult decision for the board, but had to be made. Mr. Gold will share that plan with the community.

Whether or not you ask your child to wear a mask, please ask them to be respectful of others. I believe in our Families, District, Students and Teachers. We came together during a difficult time and should continue to treat each other with respect, kindness and understanding.

We received a lot of feedback, reflecting both sides of this issue. All of the emails and feedback was nothing but respectful and were all very informative. Thank you to our community for sharing your feelings on this topic. Your kindness and respect is greatly appreciated!

All Fine Arts & Sports Particpants will be honored tonight at our school board meeting for achieving over a 3.5 GPA while participating in their activity.

Fine Arts & Sports take a lot of time and effort from these kids and we are more than happy to celebrate their outstanding achievement!
