Holidays often mean getting together with family and friends to celebrate, and SFC Gabriel Pagan, Station Commander at Lakeland Army Recruiting Station, is hosting his brother and several other family members this season.

Being stationed in the Sunshine State has perks. "My brother and his family are going to Universal Studios and vacationing in Orlando but will spend Christmas with me and my family," said Pagan.

According to Pagan, "I don't want presents for Christmas. I just like spending time with family during the holidays."

The has published new guidance which allow for tattoos on the back of neck, hands and behind the ear. This directive eases tattoo restrictions to reflect what is accepted within society and amongst the who serve. The changes do not lower service admission standards, but instead, will allow individuals who meet all other qualifications for appointment or enlistment the opportunity to serve. The changes also support the Army’s People Strategy, our number one priority, by offering Soldiers options for appearance that take into account professional appearance and good order and discipline.
