In honor of the late Ms. Lo**ta Berrien, Webster Park South Neighborhood Association (WPSNA), Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church, and our Neighborhood Planner packed and donated 25 school supply bags to Lincoln Avenue Academy.

Lo**ta Berrien was a longtime and well-loved secretary at Lincoln Avenue Academy, a former president of WPSNA, an active member of the Neighborhood Association Coalition, and a valued member of the Lakeland community.

The tote bags, with WPSNA’s logo on the outside and school supplies inside, were purchased using the Neighborhood Association's 2025-2026 Neighborhood Partnership Matching Grant funds. Here’s to strengthening community partnerships!

Public Notice: Emergency Closure of Southbound Harden Boulevard at Beacon Road

Lakeland, FL (August 20, 2026) | The City of Lakeland is notifying motorists of an emergency road closure associated with the Western Trunk Gravity Sewer Project. Beginning Thursday, August 20, at approximately 2 PM, southbound Harden Boulevard at Beacon Road will be temporarily closed for up to 24 hours to allow crews to complete emergency utility repairs.
