Friends of Colt Creek State Park

Friends of Colt Creek State Park The park offers over 21 miles of beautiful trails for great horseback riding, hiking, and biking. The Friends of C**t Creek State Park, Inc.

In March of 2014, a small group of C**t Creek State Park enthusiasts decided to start a friends group to support the park. (FCCSP) is a charitable organization that was incorporated as a citizen's support organization. We invite you to come out and enjoy the 5,000 acre park in the heart of the Green Swamp. With the state's investment in purchasing the land and managing it as a state park, we prote

ct our resources, provide habitat for wildlife, and offer recreational opportunities for Floridians and tourists. The park has miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and biking. There are several small lakes for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. There are primitive campsites, an RV and tent campground with electric and water, an equestrian campground and a group campground. We welcome you to join FCCSP and volunteer when time allows with our group or to assist at the park working with staff on a regular basis.
2025-2026 FCCSP Board of Directors:

Paula Dockery, President
Julie Townsend, Treasurer
Margaret VonEhr, Secretary
Natalie Oldenkamp, Director
Trinity Laurino, Director

We are fortunate to have an awesome volunteer who goes above and beyond:

Janet Schneider, marketing and PR

The C**t Creek team were delighted to be included in the Bonnet Springs naturalist day on June 6, where Rangers Sunny, Liz and Kelli shared their knowledge and experiences with kids of all ages. Outreach is a large part of C**t Creek's mission to share our love of Florida and the Great Outdoors. **tCreekStatePark

Venomous snakes may seem dangerous—but they play a powerful role in our environment…

They help control rodents, support ecosystems, and even reduce disease risks—but as our neighborhoods expand, we’re sharing more space with them.
