Neighbor Helping Neighbor: free shelter training is coming to our area!

When disaster or severe weather hits, our communities need trained people ready to open a shelter and take care of folks who have nowhere else to go. We're excited to offer two Direct Partner Shelter Training sessions, and we'd love to see you at one of them.

You'll learn the basics of opening and operating a shelter (providing comfort, care, and meals), how to support shelter operations when a shelter is first opened by EMA or a local partner, and how those efforts make for a smooth handoff if Red Cross management becomes necessary. You'll also get instructions on how to take part in our upcoming Thunderbolt exercises.

Business Update:

First of all, I am so thankful for each of yours patience. With Labor Day and work force complications, it has been challenging to keep everything in check; however, I believe the upcoming weeks will be better. With that being said, I want to fully extend the invitation for any good and bad feedback. You will never bother me for reporting sincere bad work. It can be anything that is missed in the services we offer. You are always welcome to text or call me. As I say to everyone, you do not pay us to keep your pool dirty and receive anything less than our best.

Sincerely, thank you for staying with us. I know there have been some on the rocks whether or not to keep us. Our standards and values will and have always been to have you at the forefront of our mission and mind. We may be a small business, but we have a big heart for our community. You help keep food on our tables and the business doors open, and we could not be more grateful. We want to make sure you are comfortable and getting the best service!
