Meet Kayla Ward, our Hot Meals Coordinator! 👋
She joined us in January 2026 and says the best part of VISTE is the genuine support, appreciation, and teamwork, plus the passion our staff and volunteers bring every day.

She’s from Land O’ Lakes, FL, loves anything crafty, puzzles and word games, Pokémon Unite, and a good nap. She’s got a full family of furry friends at home: Bear, Gaspar, Cheeto, Snow, and Belle. 🐾

As August comes to a close, we’re looking back to celebrate the volunteers who showed up for local seniors throughout the month! 💚

We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing teams from Resurrection Catholic School, CarMax, ROAR Florida, Amazon.com, Boring Business Systems and Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU), along with the many individual volunteers who generously gave their time in our warehouse.

From packing supplemental groceries, frozen food, drinks and fruit to sorting beverages and incontinence supplies, every volunteer played an important role in helping local seniors remain safely and independently in their own homes.

Your time, compassion and reliability keep VISTE’s mission moving. Thank you for serving with heart!

Some pitches start a game. This one honored a legacy. 💚

Last night, outgoing VISTE President Steve Bissonnette threw out the first pitch at the Lakeland Flying Tigers game, surrounded by the volunteers and team members who've made his 11 years of service possible. As Steve steps into a well-earned retirement, we were proud to have incoming President Katherine Fitzwater at the game as well, ready to carry the mission forward.

Thank you, Steve. And thank you to every volunteer who showed up last night. We couldn't do this without you!
