The City of Lakeland has requested residents and commercial owners to take a survey about Lakeland. You can go here (http://lakelandcitymgr.blogspot.com/2011/02/help-keep-lakeland-beautiful.html). We encourage all to take the City’s survey AND sign our petition (http://www.lakelandtntoday.com/petition.html) to show the City we stand behind them in their efforts.

Good survey, however question number 4 needs clarification. What is meant by "important"? I-40 interchange is important because I use it to get to work type important, or important economically, or as a Gateway to Lakeland?

An email message was sent today to Lakeland's Board of Commissioners, Mayor and City Manager asking for their views/comments on our website's issues. We will post any response received. We also notified others of the Thursday meeting by the Design Review Commission where a draft ordinance is being presented for LED Shopping Center signs.
