Welcome to Volunteer Appreciation Week! I am fortunate to work with the greatest bunch of volunteers serving the KP ever! Not only do they train hard, they support your career fire staff when possible, they direct traffic, offer Chaplain services, bring tenders to fire scenes, help with public education and participate in community outreach events. There’s so much more! Volunteers you are amazing and I’m proud to serve with you every day!

Two of your volunteer firefighters are professional Chefs. They donated their services last night at the KP Lions Citizen of the Year dinner where they cranked out a gourmet meal that astounded everyone! Thank you Russell Goehle and Ian Rogers!

One of the traditions that your Key Peninsula Fire Volunteers is most proud of is continuing the tradition started by Fred and Mary Ramsdell years ago, of bringing Santa to the Key Peninsula community. We use the original sleigh and we are happy that the sleigh holds warm memories for so many out here on the Key.
