💚 HORNET PRIDE IN ACTION! 💚

Lake High School would like to recognize Coach Barton for her outstanding leadership and selflessness at the Co-Lin Basketball Camp today.

When an unexpected emergency arose, Coach Barton stepped up without hesitation to assist another team in need. Her willingness to serve others and take initiative reflects the character, compassion, and professionalism we are proud to have representing Lake High School.

Thank you, Coach Barton, for making a difference and showing what it means to be a Hornet both on and off the court!

🎓 Congratulations to Austin Watson on being awarded a $1,000 ERDC Alumni Scholarship!

Austin earned this scholarship as a member of the Class of 2026 and was eligible because his grandfather, George Sills, is a retired ERDC engineer.

As part of the scholarship experience, Austin had the opportunity to tour the ERDC campus and attend a reception with fellow scholarship recipients.

We are proud of Austin and this outstanding accomplishment!

💚 Hornet Coaches Investing Beyond the Game

Several Lake High School coaches and their spouses recently attended the Coaches Outreach Marriage Retreat in San Antonio, Texas.

Coach Kyle Watson and Huellen Watson, Coach Zach Hanna and Jana Hanna, and Coach Tate Hanna and Deedra Hanna spent the weekend fellowshipping, learning, and growing alongside coaching couples from across the United States.

We are thankful for coaches and families who are committed not only to developing student-athletes but also to investing in their own families and personal growth.
