Thank you to Katz Coffee for their generous donation.

One of our department members had the opportunity to meet the Katz Coffee owner at the NASCAR event this past weekend, and after that connection, Katz generously donated a large supply of coffee for our team.

We truly appreciate the support and kindness. Thank you, Katz Coffee!

🀩 Some of your LWFD Firefighters are attending the largest fire department conference in the USA! Each year, the Fire Department Instructors Conference, or FDIC, is held in Indianapolis and brings in firefighting and emergency response personnel from all over the world to attend! Lt. Lt. Caster also set a Texas state record for his age group competing in the Firefighter Combat Challenge!😎 Incredible job!

πŸš’πŸ’™ April is Autism Awareness Month πŸ’™πŸš’

Be on the lookout for our new hats as we proudly recognize and support autism awareness throughout the month of April!

Autism touches many families in our communitiesβ€”did you know that about 1 in 31 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder?

We wear these hats to help spread awareness, promote understanding, and show our support for individuals and families affected by autism.

You May Get an Alert April 2… Here’s Why!

Texas will conduct a statewide test of emergency alert systems on Thursday, April 2, at 10 AM.

Residents in Lake Worth and across Tarrant County may receive test alerts during this time.

What to expect:

β€’ You may receive a test alert on your phone or through the City’s emergency notification system
β€’ You may receive more than one alert
β€’ Outdoor warning sirens will NOT be activated on April 2.

This is only a test. No action is required. Please do not call 911.
Testing helps ensure emergency alerts work properly and allows agencies to identify and fix issues before a real emergency.

Have you signed up to receive alerts?? If not, use the web link below to be directed to our alert and notification provider, Everbridge.

From our partners at the FW NWS - Showers and storms are expected to develop along a stalled front Wednesday afternoon and evening. A few of these storms could become severe with large hail and damaging winds. The exact location of the storms will depend on the placement of the stalled front with the greatest severe threat immediately to the east/southeast of the boundary.

πŸ”₯ This past weekend, some of our LWFD Wildland Team members had an opportunity to assist the Decatur FD with a prescribed burn in Wise County. This was yet another excellent opportunity to fine tune their firefighting skills in a controlled environment! Great job! πŸ”₯
