🎨 📖 You're invited! The Books in Art Exhibit will be open for visitors Wednesday, May 13th through Friday, June 12th at the Lake Worth Beach City Library📖 🎨

The “Books in Art” Exhibit celebrates the power of storytelling by bringing books to life through visual expression.

The Exhibit will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, for public viewing.

There will be a Special Opening Reception open to the public on Saturday, May 16th
at 6:00 pm. Don't miss it! 🎀🎉

The Lake Worth Beach City Library presents
🎨 1st ever National Library Week Art Exhibition “Books in Art” 📚️
📣 Call for Art Extended to May 2nd 🖼️

• Pieces can include book jackets, depictions of story settings or characters as long as the connection to the book is evident, or people reading, holding books.
• Deadline for submissions is: Saturday, May 2nd
• The exhibition will be hung in the Library’s Strait Museum room from Wednesday, May 13th through Friday, June 12th.
• There will be cash prizes of $500, $250, $100 for Best in Show, 2nd and 3rd place.
• Opening reception will be Saturday evening May 16th at 6 pm. •Submissions of original art must be matted, framed, ready to hang, and brought to the Library.
• There is a $20.00 hanging fee. Cash, credit, or check paid to the Lake Worth Beach Public Library.
• If an item is sold the artist will receive 80% and the library will receive 20%• Items must be picked up from the Library no later than Saturday, June 20th.

It’s National Library Week! Read a book- join us for an event- - there is something for everyone- music, bookish discussion, art, and best of all- you can support our wonderful Lake Worth Beach City Library by signing up for the “Bookin’ It “5K run/walk next Saturday 4/18. All proceeds support literacy programs in our community.

📚🏃 Volunteers Needed for Bookin’ It for Literacy 5K!
The Friends of the Lake Worth Beach Library are looking for a few volunteers to help with our Bookin’ It for Literacy 5K, a fun community event supporting the library’s Children’s Literacy Program.
We need help with:
Friday, April 17 (afternoon)
📦 Preparing runner packets and assisting with early pickup at the library.
Saturday, April 18 (6:30–9:30 AM)
🏃 Checking in runners and distributing packets
💧 Helping at water/refreshment tables during the race
The 5K race begins at 7:30 AM, and volunteers are welcome to run or walk if they'd like!
