Apartment Fire - Automatic Aid To Whiteville
Engine 9 and Tower 9 responded to Whiteville to assist with an apartment fire. Knockdown had commenced upon our arrival and we assisted with secondary search and overhaul.
Nice job by first arriving crews and a well-managed scene throughout.

Structure Fire - Chauncey Town Road

Crews responded to Chauncey Town Road this morning for a small outbuilding fire. First structure fire for our newest Engine 9 and it performed great as expected. Thank you to Bolton and Hallsboro for automatic aid and to Columbus County Fire Marshal’s Office for cause and origin investigation. No injuries were reported.

We are thankful for our Mayor, Manager and Town Commissioners for allowing us to better serve our citizens by purchasing this Engine. Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus was such a huge asset in making this work. We are headed home with Engine 9 with our Firefighter/Mayor driving her home!
