Congratulations!
Chicot Memorial Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of Skye Wells as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Skye is a healthcare finance professional with experience in rural hospital operations, financial management, reimbursement, and revenue cycle performance. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Chicot Memorial Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital in Lake Village, Arkansas. In this role, she will work closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to strengthen the hospital’s financial performance, support operational improvements, and promote its long-term sustainability.
Before joining Chicot Memorial Medical Center, Skye served as both Chief Financial Officer and Controller at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas, Arkansas. Her responsibilities included financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, revenue cycle coordination, Medicare cost reporting, and regulatory compliance. This hands-on experience gave her a broad understanding of the financial and operational challenges facing rural healthcare organizations.
Prior to transitioning into healthcare finance, Skye worked in banking and lending, where she developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and business finance. That background continues to shape her practical and analytical approach to financial leadership.
Skye is passionate about rural healthcare and ensuring that small hospitals and clinics remain financially strong and available to the communities that depend on them. She values collaboration and enjoys working alongside healthcare leaders and staff to solve challenges, improve operations, and expand access to quality local care.
Born and raised in McGehee, Arkansas, Skye has deep roots in the Arkansas Delta and a personal connection to the communities she serves. Outside of work, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with the people who matter most to her.
Please join us in congratulating Skye on this exciting new role!
