On May 1st this year our school continued a wonderful tradition that has been happening here in Quebec for nearly 60 years: The T.C. Henderson May Day Festival. We had a wonderful night, and we want to thank all the friends, families, volunteers, and visitors who came out to support our school including (but certainly not limited to) Jim and Sue Fox, Kim and Sondra Green, Board of Education members Greg Cochran, Tanya Dalton, and Ruth Harris, Superintendent Dr. Lisa Fletcher, the Lake Toxaway Fire Dept., The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office, Will & Danielle Goulet, the TCH PTO, and many others - including all the wonderful helpers who donated prizes for the cake walk and other games! I always dread listing folks for thank you posts, since I am sure to leave someone out, and it takes a huge group effort to host this event each year.
We want to give a huge "thank you" to the North Toxaway Cooking Team for the wonderful food they provided and helped serve. They really helped carry the event! It was delicious and really made for a great night!
We would like to also thank the wonderful and talented Ms. Abby Buchanan and Mrs. Courtney Owen for providing some excellent live music for us, as well as Marcus Lester from Class & Sound Entertainment for the music the rest of the evening. They were all so impressive!
Finally, another big shout out of appreciation to Headwater Outfitters, The McNeely Companies, and Edgewood Farms for our outstanding raffle prizes this year; it was a huge help to our school!
Again, I know I left off so many folks that stepped up and helped out - I apologize in advance, and hope you all make plans to join us next year on the first Friday in May to continue the tradition. Go Tigers! - Mr. Chapman
