Congratulations to everyone who completed their Sno-Isle Summer Reading this year! We had so many reading rockstars, we had to expand our finisher wall! 🎉

Our community blew us away with how much they read this summer. We had 683 people (448 children/teens and 235 adults) complete summer reading and a grand total of 256,751 minutes read! That is over twice as many finishers as we had in 2025 (337 completions with 92,071 minutes read). We can't wait to do it again next year! 🌞

Stop by next Saturday, September 12th, from 10:30am–11:30am to read aloud to a friendly four-legged listener. Last month we got to meet some new furry friends! You can bring a story to read to the dogs or choose one in the library. Children build reading skills and confidence by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog.

This event is for elementary students ages 6-12, with an adult. No registration is required. Learn more about the event here: https://tinyurl.com/m63rtmtc

Join us online on Wednesday, September 9th, from 6:00pm–7:30pm for Remarkably Real Creatures: Cephalopods! 🐙

Inspired by the beloved novel Remarkably Bright Creatures, this multimedia presentation explores the real-life intelligence, mystery, and beauty of cephalopods—including the Giant Pacific Octopus of the Pacific Northwest. Through stunning photography, film clips, and firsthand stories from underwater filmmaker Annie Crawley, audiences will journey into the hidden world of cephalopods from Puget Sound to oceans around the world. Discover how these remarkable animals solve problems, change color, escape impossible situations, and interact with humans in ways that challenge what we think we know about animal intelligence.
