Thank you to the community for the support for our three officers that were involved in the horrific accident early Tuesday morning. By request, our Police Chaplains have set up a PayPal link for those that wish to make a donation in support of the officer's and their families during this extremely tough time. These donations will be used for the families affected by this tragedy. During this tough time, the Chaplains have placed family members in hotels near the hospital to prevent them from having to commute back and forth to the hospital. Additionally, the chaplains have assisted with providing meals and snacks to the Officer's families, and the officers standing guard at the hospital while the injured officers are there, receiving treatment.

We would also like to thank the local restaurants, businesses, and concerned citizens that have donated meals, drinks and snacks to both the hospital and the Police Department during this difficult time.

Last but not least, thank you to EVERYONE for their thoughts and prayers.

The PayPal link is paypal.me/LighthouseLSL

Please put LSLPD3 in the notes section of the PayPal link.

Della will be greatly missed. Even though she has not worked with us in years, we will definitely miss hearing her voice while monitoring the scanner.

***Update***
Attached is a link to an online store for a Memorial t-shirt in memory of Della.
All proceeds from this project will go towards her funeral and other final expenses.
We thank everyone for the huge outpouring of support during this time for Della and the Wentzville Police Department.
Thank you.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart the Wentzville Police Department mourns the passing of Dispatcher Della Williams DSN 232. Della served as a police dispatcher for almost 19 years starting in August of 2003. Della also worked part time for Lake St. Louis Police Department for many years and had prior dispatching experience before joining our department with Warren County and Randolph County.
There is no easy or simple way or even enough words to describe the loss of Della. Her impact on this department, her coworkers, her family, law enforcement as a whole and the community, is nothing short of incredible. Della was the most selfless and giving person all the time. Her entire life revolved around helping others. She also had a special place in her heart for victims of domestic violence and for children. A few of the many projects she was involved in were the Missing Person Support Center which she founded. The Missing in Missouri Law Enforcement Training which she worked to get P.O.S.T. certified to train officers across the state. She also helped with the NameUs organization, The Purse Project, making backpacks for needy members of the community as well as setting up and supporting many fundraisers. Della organized care packages for deployed troops overseas, made meals for surrounding dispatch centers and special units. Della never met a stranger and would help anyone and everyone she came in contact with.
The Wentzville Police Department won't be the same without her. Della truly was the most caring and unselfish person around and will be missed by so many.
She will forever be in our hearts.
Rest in peace Della.

Our friends at the Lake Saint Louis Fire Protection District are doing a great thing for those with children who have sensory sensitivities. If you have a child with sensory issues, we encourage you to head out to First Baptist Church - Lake Saint Louis and take advantage of this opportunity.

UPDATED: because of the major interest in this we are changing the start time to 5 PM. This is necessary to get everyone through at the church and still get Santa to the regular route!!

EXCITING NEWS POST!!!

A post has been shared a lot today about a stop we made possible for someone who needed the lights off due to high sensitivity to the lights.

Today we have fielded a lot of requests pertaining to the same conditions.

We are excited to announce that tomorrow night, Friday 12/17 we are adding a special stop to make sure every kiddos gets to see Santa.

We have partnered up with First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis. At 5pm Santa will arrive on the south parking lot at 2230 Lake St. Louis Blvd.

This stop will have no flashing lights, no sirens, and no music. The only lights will be the non flashing ones on the sleigh. Santa will come off the sleigh and meet kiddos that can’t climb onto it.

We do ask that you spread out on the lot, so kiddos that don’t like crowded environments are also kept comfortable.

Also- please, if you don’t have a need for this special stop, please go to one of our regular stops on the original route to give the kiddos with theses sensitivities their room to enjoy the event.

We love the feedback recieved, and if you have any other special circumstances that we can accommodate, please message us.

We look for to seeing these smiles of joy!!
