As we reach the end of the season for boating and beach fun, please be sure to remove any items you may have taken down to the beach over the summer season. Picnic tables, chairs, shoreboats and other items must be off Shoreland Park by November 2nd. This includes all boats, moorings and docks, although we do know that Windmill Marina may run late in moving docks down to the marina. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to call the marina or your preferred storage location to get your dock on their schedule.

City staff hope you had a great 2025 boating season. Enjoy the upcoming Holiday season and we’ll be in touch again in the New Year for Permit Renewals.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS – 2025 FALL HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Lakeland Water Utility will be conducting hydrant flushing for the Cities of Lakeland, Lakeland Shores and Lake St. Croix Beach beginning October 6, 2025, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (weather permitting), and concluding October 24, 2025.

It is necessary to flush the hydrants and water mains at intervals to remove sediment accumulation and to check fire hydrant condition. As a result you may experience rusty, discolored water. If you experience rusty, discolored water or low water pressure, it will be temporary. Please refrain from doing laundry or using hot water until the water clears. You can clear the discoloration in your water by running cold water from a faucet at the lowest point in your home until the water turns clear.

Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department
Why Learn Hands-Only CPR?
Cardiac arrest - a leading cause of death - is an electrical malfunction in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) and disrupts the flow of blood to the brain, lungs and other organs. Every year, more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States.
When a person has a cardiac arrest, survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. According to the American Heart Association, about 90% of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple the chance of survival. You can be the difference for someone you love!
If you are called to administer CPR in an emergency, most likely it would be to help save the life of someone you love: a child, a spouse, a parent, or a friend.
STOP THE BLEED is a global awareness program that focuses on prevention of bleeding deaths.
The number one cause of death after injury is bleeding, but these are preventable, and we want to equip and train you to assist others and help save lives.
STOP THE BLEED is "the CPR of bleeding." Anyone can learn to do compressions on a chest. Similarly, anyone can hold pressure on a wound to prevent death from bleeding. And when you're trained to use simple techniques in an emergency, you can teach other people how to do it, too! STOP THE BLEED techniques can be used for a variety of injuries that can occur in household, industrial settings, recreational, or educational environments.
Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department welcomes you to come learn Compression-Only CPR, AED use, and basic bleeding control techniques. This FREE and fun hands-on training takes only two hours, but the long-lasting skills could last a lifetime and save lives. Join us!
Please visit the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department website at www.lscvfd.com to sign up, or visit our page for more information.
