UPDATE…everything is new open in the area

Update…fire is extinguished . Crews are checking for extension and doing overhaul. The area will remain closed while crews work.

Local 4608 and Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department are working at a structure fire on Saranac Avenue between Hillcrest and Victor Herbert. The road is closed in that area. Please avoid the area.

Route 73 is closed at River Road due to an accident on Route 73 down towards the Cascades. It will be closed for an indeterminate amount of time.
