The library is seeking the input of people ages 60+ to join one of two focus groups in order to improve library services and programming. Feedback is being sought to create services that better meet the needs of seniors in Lake Orion. Interested individuals can sign up to attend the Thursday, August 6 session at 10am, or the Tuesday, August 11 session at 2pm. Adults can finally join in on Battle of the Books fun! The fourth annual Adult Battle of the Books will take place at Sick Town Hall (37 E. Flint St., Lake Orion). Teams of 2-5 people will read four books over the summer. The battle will take place on August 13, and teams will answer questions about the titles in quiz show format. The event is free to attend, but participants purchase their own food and drink. *All attendees must register individually online, space is limited.

Make sure to come out this Saturday for the Summer Reading Kick Off. The Friends will be providing ice cream.

We’re thrilled to once again kick off our Summer Reading Program with a special celebration. This year’s event is extra exciting as we honor the library’s 100th anniversary with a festive, birthday party–themed gathering. Guests of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon featuring bounce houses, yummy treats, live entertainers, crafts, and a variety of engaging activities. Join us on Saturday, June 13, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for a memorable community celebration you won’t want to miss!
