We are SO EXCITED for the school year to begin! A few reminders to get us through the first week!

Tomorrow is a half day. The school day officially runs from 8:20-11:35 am. Students can enter the building starting at 8:10 am and the first dismissal bell rings at 11:28 am.

We will have a back to school yard sign in front of the building so give yourselves time to snap some first day pictures!

Wednesday and Thursday are full days running from 8:20 am-3:20 pm. Students can enter the building starting at 8:10 am and the first dismissal bell rings at 3:13 pm.

No school on Friday and Monday.

**Please refer to Mr Cooper's update from August 24th regarding parent loop and parking lot procedures. Our parking lot and parent loop both get busy but when everyone follows procedures arrival and dismissal run very quickly. Please make sure to have your car sign filled out and on hanging from your rearview mirror.**

We need 5 (or more!) new accounts to sign up for Box Tops by August 31st to receive $55! Follow the steps to create a new account, scan ANY receipt (doesn't need to have a Box Tops item), and Orion Oaks will earn money. Don't forget the referral code as that is how we earn the bonus!

Scanning your receipts for Box Tops is a great way to earn money for Orion Oaks on purchases you are already making. We've only had 10 people scanning their receipts for the months of July and August and have earned over $70. Imagine what we can earn if we double or triple the amount of people scanning their receipts on a regular basis!

We had such a great time yesterday catching up with with familiar faces and meeting new Oaks families! We are so excited...

We have a few calendar magnets left available for purchase! Magnets purchased will be sent home with students the first week of school. Keep school dates and events easily accessible with a handy QR code to scan for quick access to the full calendar, lunch menus, and important PTO links.

We can't wait to see you all at Meet & Greet! PTO will be set up outside passing out popsicles (weather permitting), selling spirit sticks (cash only), and showing off our new school shirts! Be sure to stop by and say hi!

We will also be selling school calendar magnets for $5! Pre-purchase online to secure your magnet or pay in cash at the sale. Magnets are limited!

It's beginning to look a lot like a new school year! Teachers and staff officially return to school on Monday but many have started setting up their classrooms and prepping for the new year!

What a fun week at Oaks! On Tuesday we celebrated the end of the year with a dance party and popsicles at recess! On Friday students and staff went to work for Day of Service and completed service projects around the school.

Neighborhood D won a school competition and they voted to turn Mr Cooper into a sundae! Staff members chose students who represent our Positivity Project traits to help out during our special assembly. We also had a surprise sliming of Ms Lindsay to send her off as she retires from Oaks PTO.
