I am sorry to say little Ari passed late last night. Never what I want to pass on. Even though she was given all protocols to treat the flystrike and maggots I started seeing what looked like bleeding from the gut. Which told me the maggots in her had damaged her badly. You are ultimately free now little Ari.

First intake for the fall squirrel littles season. Meet little Ari. Female 4-5 week old grey squirrel found laying in the driveway. As there are no felines around and abrasions on both of the rear legs I think a newby hawk had a hold of her but then dropped her. She was riddled with flystrike and a plethora of maggots in the rear end. Flysrtrike removed, anti maggots e***a, pain meds, and antibiotics. And happily hydrated.
