Junior Friends of the Library will meet on Tuesday, April 21st 4pm at the Isabella Branch for 'Spring Into Reading' stories and crafts. This great event is open to children of all ages. Not a member of the Junior Friends? No worries, come anyway and we will sign you up, no charge for membership. See you Tuesday!

Reminder: In-N-Out Reading program for children ages 4 to 12 ends on Saturday! Parents be sure and get those certificates in so your child can enjoy a hamburger or cheeseburger from In-N-Out!

Reminder: In-N-Out Cover to Cover Reading Club ends April 18th! Remember Children ages 4-12 can earn up to 3 certificates good for a free hamburger or cheeseburger from In-N-Out restaurants for every 5 library books read. For more information, contact any Kern County Library.

Reminder: Friends of the Library Spring Salad Luncheon will be Monday 12:00 at the Kernville Methodist Church. Bring a favorite salad to share. Beverages and deserts will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

The education director of the Friends of the Kern Valley Libraries will be presenting information, visuals, and handouts regarding privatization/outsourcing of library services . Also we hope to have a few representatives from the Advocates for Library Enhancement (ALE) group attend this luncheon. They are having a meeting the evening of April 13th at the Beale Library and we're hoping a few of the KRV folks will attend, please consider it.

Discover Piano! Open to ages 7 to adult
Have you wondered if the piano is the instrument for you? Now is your opportunity to find out! The Isabella Branch will be offering FREE introductory lessons beginning Saturday, May 2nd 10:00am Lessons will run for 4 weeks with new sessions beginning the first Saturday of each month.
