There are still a lot of fire hydrants buried around Parsippany. And we don't enjoy digging them out any more than you do.

But fire can double in size every 30 seconds. Hopefully this video below will illustrate just how dangerous it is for hydrants to be buried.

For us. For the community. For your family. Please dig out your hydrants before something tragic happens.

One of the most common incidents we deal with in the Winter is carbon monoxide exposures. With a little bit of information and making sure you have a CO detector in your home you can sleep soundly knowing you and your loved ones will be alright.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous gas that gives no warning since you can’t see it, smell it, hear it, or taste it. This gas is impossible to detect if you do not have working CO detectors inside your living space. Check the batteries and the units to make sure they are working.

If you suspect CO poisoning, call at 1-800-222-1222.

It's time everyone. Please dig out your hydrants. It helps all of us in the community.
