Yesterday, some of our off-duty firefighters volunteered their time to conduct a vehicle extrication training for firefighters in Pine Lake, Arizona.

The class focused on rescue tools, vehicle stabilization, and extrication techniques, providing hands-on experience that helps firefighters stay prepared for real-world emergencies.

We’re proud of our crew for sharing their knowledge and helping strengthen the fire service beyond our district boundaries.

🚨 IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE 🚨
Desert Hills Fire District will officially transition emergency dispatch services to the Town of Colorado City beginning June 9, 2026 at 10:00am.

This upgrade will improve communications, interoperability, emergency response capabilities, and overall service to our communities with no interruption to 911 services.

Yesterday, our department had an amazing time participating in Water Day at Nautilus Elementary School! 💦🚒

There’s nothing better than seeing the smiles and excitement from the kids as they cooled off and learned a little more about what firefighters do in our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fun event and to help make lasting memories for these students.

A big thank you to the staff at Nautilus Elementary for having us out, we’re always proud to support our community and the next generation! 👨‍🚒❤️

Last week, the Desert Hills Fire District was proud to welcome the 1st and 3rd grade classes from Starline Elementary School for HERO DAY! 🚒🔥

Students had the opportunity to learn about fire safety, meet our firefighters, explore the fire engine and equipment, and even experience spraying water from a real fire hose.

We always enjoy opening our doors to the community and helping teach the next generation about safety, teamwork, and the important role first responders play every day. Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for spending the day with us. We had a great time!
