A few highlights from another busy but informative & even fun August 4, LHRW Luncheon. Of course our beautiful view each month. Our crew & Shugrue’s crew taking care of everyone. A little socializing before we get down to serious business. Congressmen Paul Gosar & our amazing & wonderful Chaplain Bea Evans. Everyone’s favorite Americanism Chair Jackie Joyce & Anna Biasiucci with details on the next fabulous Italy trip. Info available for those interested. Associate Member Gary having fun with AZ.State Rep Leo Biasiucci & the Leo hat (Pretty Girls Vote Republican) he won. If Leo can wear one Gary can too. Guest speakers Leo & Congressman Paul Gosar give updates & information on the upcoming elections as well as information about the AZ. House & Senate and all the interesting happenings in Washington DC. Queen of Diamond hopeful’s lining up. No winner. Teri Reeves was the lucky winner of the Haven Family Resource Basket. A few highlights from our very busy July 7th LHRW lunch meeting. From our greeter at the door to all our check in crew & ticket sales who get things going. Our annual Shoe Drive was a great success once again. Thank you to all Seven City Council Candidates who were our guest speakers. Sam Scarmado, Michele Lin, Kimberly Zanon, Jeni Coke, Taylor Harrison, Neil Tinsley & Teri Parcells. The Queen of Diamond Hopefuls. Will there be winner in July? Julie Howard won the Free Lunch. Lake Havasu Republican Women’s Club hosted their annual shoe drive for Havasu Clothes Closet for the many kids who are in need of new shoes going back to school. Combined over a hundred pairs of shoes & socks & $1,400.00 in cash & checks were also donated to purchase more shoes that will be needed. Our Caring for America Chair Gaynell Crews reached out to our members again to help the many kids in our community. The shoes and donations were brought to their July 7, lunch meeting. Our hearts are truly broken with the passing of this amazing man. I was waiting to post until the perfect post was available to share how heartbreaking this country will be without him. God Speed Lindsey & Thank you for your service to our country. 🇺🇸❤️💔

Disclaimer…. There has been some confusion on clubs endorsing candidates…The Lake Havasu Republican Women are not affiliated with anyone endorsing candidates on A Golden Ticket or anywhere else. While we support all Republican Candidates local & statewide, we as a club per the bylaws of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women & The National Federation of Republican Women cannot endorse any candidate before the primaries. After that we will absolutely support any Republican candidate in the General Election. Thank You.

AMERICANISM – JULY 2026 by Jackie Joyce,Americanism Chair.

July 7. 1981: President Ronald Reagan nominated Arizona judge Sandra Day O'Connor to the U.S. Supreme Court, fulfilling his campaign promise to appoint the first female justice.

Sandra Day O'Connor (1930–2023) was an American jurist and politician who served as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1981 until her retirement in 2006.

Confirmed unanimously by the Senate, Justice O'Connor was a pragmatic conservative whose case-by-case approach frequently positioned her in the ideological center. In closely contested 5-4 decisions, her vote was often the deciding factor.

Some of her decisions, today might be considered very controversial by the Republican Party VET BEFORE YOU VOTE

Have you voted?.............. If not, there is still time to VET the candidates. Just because they are on your Ballot does not mean they are able of even fit to do the job that particular position entails…. DO YOUR JOB AS A VOTER…. Vet the candidate, know who and why you are casting each and every vote… Don’t let a good talker or TV personality or Banner on the street corner make up your mind. If you are not sure ask for help from a like minded Republican, get information from well informed friends,
pros and cons.
Then you can KNOWINGLY CAST YOUR VOTE..
