Many thanks to all who helped to make the sale successful: to Naomi and Anina and the library staff for all of their support; Amy W. and Third Place Commons for providing the Sponsor's table and graciously letting us spread out a bit; to the folks who helped us during the sale--to Mike D., Jim G., and Hugo D. for putting up our banner, hauling books and book carts to and from the storage area and also to Mike for responding to custom requests for books by locating them in the storage area as well as to Jim for being our "on-site banker," to Karen H. who expertly helped us to get set up and then cheerfully sold books, to new FOL member Julie S., who jumped right in to help us sell books, to Mary Ellen T. who provided welcome reinforcement as we were cleaning up, and to our treasurer Connie H. who so efficiently counted and deposited the money; to other FOL members who provided moral and encouragement; and to all of the library patrons and Third Place book store who generously donated the books we sold.

The $515.50 we earned will be used to support library programs, particularly the joint library and Third Place Commons Halloween program. It was also wonderful to be able to participate in the great community activity of the Farmers Market, share our love of books as we interacted with community members and our fellow Friends, and get books out into the community.
