Paul Rode stood on the bridge over Hwy 94 after the Twin Towers collapsed on 9/11 to honor the #343 FDNY firefighters and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11.

The 343 ride has taken place as an annual 24 hour tribute with flag waving and parade procession crossing the bridge at 3:43 pm. Fire and emergency vehicles from eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin participate every year.

Thank you Lake Elmo Fire Department and all the Fire , police, and emergency services that honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice on that tragic day.

We are grateful, always.

Today, we stand united over things that tried to break us as a nation. It is our liberty, hope, bravery, courage, and love that guide us through tragedy, and we become stronger together.

On this September 11, may we remember those we have lost, and honor all the firefighters, EMTs, medical professionals, police and regular citizens who chose to step up to protect and defend neighbors, family, friends, and our country .

Today and every day, we will always remember. 🇺🇸 #343
