Happy EMS Week from your LCA crew🚑

Behind every call is a crew willing to show up on someone’s hardest day with compassion, calmness, and care. This job asks a lot-long hours, missed sleep, difficult moments, and sacrifices most people never see-but we are incredibly proud to do what we do and honored to serve this community.

What makes this crew so special is the bond we share. The hard days are made easier by the people standing beside us- the teammates who step in without being asked, check on one another after tough calls, make each other laugh when it’s needed most, and always go above and beyond for both our patients and each other. This crew is more than coworkers; we are family.

This week, we want to recognize and thank our amazing crew for the dedication, teamwork, and heart they bring to every shift and every patient encounter. And to our community, thank you for trusting us on your best days, worst days, and everything in between.

Learn essential skills including CPR, AED use, and Stop the Bleed techniques.

📍 Hosted by Lake City Ambulance at our station
⏱️ Class duration: up to 4 hours (includes optional First Aid)

- Class attendance: FREE
- Optional certification card: $21.50

This week, we recognize the voices behind the scenes-the calm in the chaos, the steady guidance in moments of panic, and the unseen team members who help every call run smoothly.

To our 911 dispatchers: thank you for being the first first responders. Before we arrive on scene, you are already making a difference—gathering critical information, coordinating resources, and supporting callers through stressful and uncertain moments.

Your ability to stay composed, think quickly, and communicate clearly does not go unnoticed. You are an essential part of every call we run, every response we make, and every patient we care for.

From all of us on the road: we couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you for your dedication, resilience, and commitment to our community.

After an incredibly difficult day for our community, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones affected by yesterday’s tragic fire. There are no words that can ease the pain of such a loss, but please know that you are not alone. Your community stands beside you, and we are here to support you in any way we can during this unimaginable time.

To our firefighters, we offer our sincere gratitude and respect. You willingly put yourselves in harm’s way to protect others, and your courage and dedication do not go unnoticed. We recognize the physical and emotional toll incidents like this can carry. Please take the time you need in the days ahead to care for yourselves and one another. Your well-being matters.

To the families of our firefighters, thank you for your strength and for the sacrifices you make in sharing your loved ones with our community. Your support behind the scenes makes their service possible, and we are deeply grateful.

We also want to thank all crew members who responded and assisted in any capacity. Your professionalism, teamwork, and compassion reflect the very best of our service.

Finally, we extend our appreciation to our mutual aid partners for their rapid response and continued collaboration. Working together ensures we can provide the highest level of care and support to those we serve.

$21 with or without first aid. 2 hours for just CPR, 4 with first aid.
