🏊‍♀️ O’Neil Pool Weekend Closure Notice 🏊‍♂️

Please note that O’Neil Pool will be closed on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14 while we host a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification course for members of our lifeguard staff.

This training provides lifeguards with the skills and certification necessary to teach swimming lessons, helping us continue to offer high-quality aquatic education and water safety programs for our community. By investing in staff training, we are building a stronger team and helping ensure Lake City residents have access to qualified swim instructors for years to come.

We appreciate your understanding as we dedicate this weekend to staff development and training.

Normal pool hours will resume on Monday, June 15.

Thank you for your patience and support of our aquatic programs!

🚧 Street Maintenance Notice – Jewel Development 🚧

Lake City Public Works has contracted with a crack-filling contractor to perform preventative street maintenance within the Jewel Development area between County Road 5 and Highway 63. The highlighted streets shown on the attached map are included in this work.

The contractor is expected to be working throughout the neighborhood over approximately the next two weeks. The schedule may vary depending on weather conditions and the contractor’s progress.

Residents are encouraged to keep vehicles, trailers, and other items off the highlighted streets while crews are working. Clear access will provide the contractor with sufficient space to safely and efficiently complete the maintenance work.

Crack filling is a routine preventative maintenance activity used to seal pavement cracks, reduce water infiltration, and help extend the useful life of the roadway. Crews will move progressively through the neighborhood as work is completed. Motorists may experience temporary traffic restrictions or brief delays near active work areas.

Please drive carefully, reduce speeds around workers and equipment, follow any temporary traffic-control signs, and avoid driving over freshly applied sealant until directed by the contractor.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
