Cross Street Paving Operations Scheduled for Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21

The City of Lake City has received notice from Monarch Paving that paving operations on Cross Street are planned for this Thursday, August 20, and Friday, August 21.

Work will take place on Cross Street from US Highway 63 to W Lakewood Avenue.

Residents and motorists should expect:

• Traffic restrictions along Cross Street
• Increased construction and trucking activity
• Noise associated with paving operations
• Short-term delays in the work zone
• Temporary access impacts while equipment is working nearby

Paving is typically a moving operation, meaning the contractor will progress along the roadway as asphalt is placed and compacted. Vehicle access is generally maintained; however, residents may experience brief delays when paving equipment is working directly in front of driveways, intersections, or specific portions of the roadway.

Please use caution in the area, follow posted traffic control, and give construction crews and equipment plenty of space.

The City appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation as this street improvement project moves toward completion.
