4-H Rocks! 🍀Leave Your Mark on Cameron Parish 4-H!🍀

🗓💥Rocks will be given out at the first club meetings next week.

🎨🖌Take your rock home and paint it with a positive message, picture, 4-H design, or anything that represents you! Return your painted rock to school and place it in the Green Rock Garden Box at the school or give to your 4-H Leader.

During National 4-H Week, the rocks will be displayed at your school. Afterwards, Cameron Parish 4-H will collect them and create a special rock garden at the Cameron 4-H Office.

💥💥💥Prizes for: Most Creative Rock, Best 4-H Theme, Most Colorful Rock, Best Positive Message.

4-H Youth Enrollment is Now Open!
Whether you're a returning member or joining 4-H for the first time, now is the time to enroll for the new 4-H year!
Enroll online at: www.4honline.com
Returning Members:
• Log in to your 4-H Online account.
• Your member record will appear in your family’s Member List.
• Click “Enroll Now” next to your name and follow the prompts to
complete enrollment.
New Members:
• Log in to 4-H Online.
• Click “Add Member” and follow the instructions provided in the attached enrollment guide.
💲 Parish Enrollment Fee: $10.00
📲 Payment Method: Enrollment fees must be paid online by credit or debit card during the enrollment process.
✅Important: Be sure to click SUBMIT to finalize your enrollment.
An additional flyer with step-by-step enrollment information has been provided for your convenience.

Shooting Sports: Safety, Skill & Success!
Looking for an exciting way to develop new skills, build confidence, and connect with friends? The Cameron Parish 4-H Shooting Sports Program offers youth the opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive, and hands-on environment while enjoying the outdoors.

Through certified instruction and practical experiences, members develop valuable life skills such as leadership, responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Participants will also gain valuable knowledge in:
 Marksmanship fundamentals
 Hunting ethics and conservation practices
 Wildlife and habitat management
 Goal setting and personal responsibility
 Teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship
Membership Fee: A $40.00 fee is required and can be paid online through 4-H Online. You can register after you have enrolled in
4-H online and you are approved. You will log back in 4-H online, go to EVENTS and choose Shooting Sports and pay the $40.00 fee online.
Who Can Join? Youth ages 9 to 18 (as of January 1st of the current school year) are eligible. Members must be enrolled in a 4-H club at their school. If no club is available, they may join the Cameron Member-at-Large Club.
Club Activity Days: Meetings are held monthly from October through May, with most activities on weekends. Fi****ms and bows are provided for use during practice and competitions.

Parent meeting will be October 5th @5:30 p.m. at the 4-H office and the first practice will be Sunday, October 11th at 2:00 pm. at the shooting range behind the 4-H office.

Southwest Region Challenge Camp for 7th & 8th Graders!

Calling all 7th and 8th grade 4-H members! Get ready for an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, and make new friends at the Southwest Region Challenge Camp, taking place
November 17-18, 2026, at the Acadiana Baptist Center in Eunice, Louisiana.
This 2-day, 1-night camp is packed with fun and engaging activities designed to help participants build leadership and teamwork skills while creating lasting memories. Campers will enjoy: team-building activities, indoor and outdoor challenge courses, leadership development experiences, community service projects, and opportunities to meet 4-H members from across the Southwest Region

💲 Cost: $100 per participant (payable to Cameron 4-H)

📅 Registration Deadline: October 29, 2026

Information packets were distributed to interested 7th and 8th grade students. Please refer to the packet for complete camp details, required forms, and registration instructions. The first meeting will be held on Friday, September 25th 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the 4-H office in Grand Lake.

Do you love the outdoors? Are you interested in learning how to fish, identify wildlife, cook over a campfire, or explore the natural world around you? Then the Nature Navigators 4-H Club is the perfect place for you! Nature Navigators is a new Cameron Parish 4-H club designed for youth who enjoy adventure, hands-on learning, and spending time outdoors. Throughout the year, members will develop outdoor skills, explore local ecosystems, meet experts from our community, and discover how to be responsible stewards of Louisiana's natural resources.
What Can You Expect? Each month, 4th – 8th grade members will participate in a fun, interactive workshop featuring different outdoor skills or topics, including Knots & Rope Skills, Campfire Cooking, Orienteering & Navigation, Wildlife Tracking, Outdoor First Aid, Archery, Fishing Skills, Birding & Wildlife Identification, Water Safety, Coastal Conservation
