Phillips 66 presented Family & Youth with a check in the amount of $60,000.00 in support of the emotional health of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. This contribution will provide counseling and support services to children to help them heal from the trauma they have endured.

“This investment supports some of the most vulnerable children in our community by ensuring they have access to the care and counseling they need to heal,” said Scot Tyler, Vice President of Phillips 66 Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex. “Family & Youth provides critical services that help children navigate trauma, build resilience, and move forward with confidence. CASA VOLUNTEERS’ IMPACT ON CHILDREN: Studies have shown that a child with a CASA volunteer is more likely to find a safe and permanent home than a child without. They help expedite the process of finding a permanent home, reducing the time a child spends in foster care and minimizing the negative impacts of repeated placement.

Tasting on the Terrace benefits the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a Division of Family & Youth, which serves children in Southwest Louisiana who have been reported as sexually and/or severely physically abused. Within this child-friendly setting, a team of professionals works together to coordinate services, reduce trauma, and support each child’s path toward healing.

The Children’s Advocacy Center has seen a nearly 35% increase in children reported as sexually and/or severely physically abused between 2024 and 2025, so your support is needed now more than ever!

We are so grateful for the SLCHS students who took the time to handmake these lovable stuffies for the children seen at the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a Division of Family & Youth! 🧡💙

These special gifts will bring comfort, love, and smiles to children during difficult moments. Thank you St. Louis Catholic High School!

Family & Youth Counseling Agency is so grateful for SLCHS students’ (from Ms. McHale’s FACS class) thoughtful contribution to the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a Division of Family & Youth. 🫶🏽

Every child who comes to the CAC to share their story of abuse during the forensic interview process is given the opportunity to choose a stuffed animal from our Comfort Closet, filled with love through community donations.

Because of our SAINTS, children at the CAC will be able to choose a soft, comforting stuffed animal of their own. These soft, cuddly companions often become treasured companions for children who are victims of abuse and who desperately need that feeling of comfort & safety. 🧡💙
