🎊🎉 Please join us as we celebrate 🎊🎉
🌟 National Public Works Week (NPWW) 2026 🌟
📅 May 17–23, 2026 📅
This year’s national theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” acknowledges that the roots of service run deep in public works. It’s the dedication, innovation and hard work of Public Works professionals that help communities evolve into places where people can lead lives of purpose and possibility.
From building roads and maintaining bridges to providing clean water, reliable sewer systems, drainage infrastructure, transportation and waste management services, Public Works forms the foundation of thriving communities. Some of this work is highly visible, while many essential services happen quietly behind the scenes, but every project, seen or unseen, powers the connection between service and the people it supports.
🌳 Rooted in Service: Our Public Works teams are deeply committed to serving the people of ONE Lake Charles with pride and dedication every day.
⚡ Powered by Community: Through infrastructure, maintenance and innovation, Public Works helps keep our city connected, safe and moving forward.
💙 Stay tuned! Throughout the week, we’ll be diving into the City Shift archives to share the stories of the people powering ONE Lake Charles through the many divisions of our Public Works Department.
Join us in celebrating the hardworking men and women of Public Works who help make our city safer, cleaner and stronger for everyone!
