Grant Applications are Live!
The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc. (JLLC) is proud to offer the Melissa Ann Cox TEACH Grant and the Branch Out & Grow Grant as part of our 93-year legacy of community partnership and service in Southwest Louisiana.
Both grant programs are available to educators and school-based professionals serving Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, Beauregard, and Allen Parishes.
🎓 MELISSA ANN COX TEACH GRANT
💰 Award: Up to $5,000
📅 Application Deadline: November 1, 2026
The Melissa Ann Cox TEACH Grant provides educators with an opportunity to bring an innovative project or idea to life — with the community helping select the recipient!
Following the application period, JLLC will select finalists to present their proposed projects through an online voting platform. Public voting will take place during the 2026 Mistletoe & Moss Holiday Market, November 20–22, 2026, giving market attendees and the community an opportunity to participate in the selection process.
Individuals may cast one vote per day, and the finalist receiving the highest number of votes will be awarded the grant.
🌱 BRANCH OUT & GROW GRANT
💰 Multiple Awards: $500–$2,500
📅 Application Deadline: November 7, 2026
The Branch Out & Grow Grant provides multiple awards to support innovative projects and initiatives that enhance educational opportunities and positively impact students and school communities.
The program is open to all school-based professionals within the five eligible parishes.
✨ Two grant opportunities. Five parishes. One shared goal: helping great ideas grow and strengthening education across Southwest Louisiana.
