The Calcasieu Assessor's Office will be closed on Monday, September 7th, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

Calcasieu Parish Assessor, Wendy Aguillard, would like to make Senior homeowners aware of the "Special Assessment Level Freeze".

This benefit will freeze the value of your homestead property against any future value increases due to quadrennial reassessment.

You must be 65 years or older and your household income (AGI) must be less than $102,700.

*Applicants must bring proof of age and proof of income (as required by law).*

For more information on the qualifications to file for this "Special Assessment Level Freeze" and the documentation needed, please call the Calcasieu Parish Assessor’s Office at 337-721-3000.
