The relentless tax hikes from Governor Pritzker and Illinois lawmakers have made life unaffordable for Illinois families. Illinois is taking $18 billion more from taxpayers compared to Pritzker's first year in office.

Enough is enough. Illinois leaders must learn to live within their means.

Democrat Governor Pritzker and his left-wing supporters want to take over zoning in the 9th District and the rest of the State.

They want to end local zoning laws and let Springfield Democrat politicians determine what can be built in your neighborhood.

So think about it, do you really want a six flat next door to your colonial house in East Kenilworth? How about some public housing on either side of your ranch house in Glenview?

Thankfully some communities are pushing back against the Democrat takeover. Here's Lincolnshire rejecting the demand for State control and supporting municipal control of municipal zoning.

Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Glenview are among the many towns who have not stepped forward to support local control.

Can I ask you to contact your local municipal government and thell them 'NO, we don't want Springfield writing our zoning laws'?

Please lend a hand to keep the character of your own neighborhood and stop the Democrats in Springfield from forcing this terrible legislation on our local communities.

Thank you to the volunteers from Club America Lake Forest and Shields Township Republicans for assisting McKinlock Post 264 of the American Legion in placing flags on the graves of approximately 1,600 military veterans at Lake Forest Cemetery and St. Mary’s Cemetery. Your service and dedication helped honor those who served our country with dignity and respect.
