Think it’s just an e-bike?
Think again.

Some high-powered e-bikes and e-motos are classified as motor vehicles and may require a license, registration, and insurance.

Buying one for your child?
Know the laws before you buy. Riding unlicensed can lead to citations, impoundment, towing, and fines.

Know before you buy.
Know before you ride.

E bike safety isn’t optional. It protects you and everyone on the road.

🚨 Always wear a helmet
🚨 Use lights and reflectors when riding at night
🚨 Obey traffic signals and road rules
🚨 No reckless riding or speeding
🚨 Stay visible with reflective or bright clothing
🚨 Never ride distracted or under the influence

Unsafe riding can lead to crashes, injuries, fines, or loss of riding privileges. Ride responsibly, respect others, and help keep our streets safe for everyone.

Laguna Hills Police Services has received reports of scammers impersonating law enforcement and financial officials and pressuring residents to send money.

Scammers may spoof official phone numbers, use real names, and claim you have a warrant, missed jury duty, or frozen accounts.

Red Flags:
• Demands for payment by gift cards, cryptocurrency, gold, Zelle, or Venmo
• Threats of arrest if you hang up
• Requests for personal or banking information

Protect Yourself:
• HANG UP. Law enforcement and financial institutions will never call to demand money.

Distracted driving can change lives in an instant.

A quick glance at a phone, adjusting the radio, or reaching for something in the car can take your attention off the road and put everyone around you at risk.

Stay focused behind the wheel:
• Put your phone away before driving
• Set your GPS and music before leaving
• Keep both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road
• If it can wait, it should wait

Your attention behind the wheel helps keep our roads safer for everyone.

Drive alert. Drive focused. Arrive safely.
