Florence Sylvester Senior Center The FSMSC professional staff and volunteers are committed to serving seniors and providing programs and services that meet their needs.

We provide home delivered meals (meals on wheels), in-person weekly congregate lunch, classes & activities, resources, health & wellness, nutritional well-being, & socialization to enhance independence & quality of life for our older adults in south OC. They are as follows:

• Adult Education Classes
• Congregate Meals
• Lectures/Seminars, such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, strok

e, arthritis, diabetes
• Emeritus College Courses
• Entertainment Programs and Classes
• Exercise Classes, such as Tai Chi, Chi Kong, Yoga, and strength training
• Fall Prevention and Balance and Mobility Classes
• Financial Workshops
• Insurance, Medicare, and Social Security Assistance
• Legal Assistance
• Meals on Wheels
• Memory Loss Classes
• Preventive Health Programs, such as blood pressure, osteoporosis and glucose screenings
• Senior Driver’s Resource Center
With the collaboration of community partners the first dedicated Driver Resource Room in the state of California was created. In the last year the driving center’s volunteers have helped numerous seniors retain their driving privileges and have educated them on driving safely in their communities.

• Tax Assistance
• Wellness Program, such as Living Healthy with a Chronic Condition Classes
