Several State Roads are being chip sealed this summer. In LaGrange County, State Rd 120 from State Rd 5 to State Rd 9 is scheduled to be done in June.

The Topeka Fire Department is excited to announce the start of our upcoming Fire Academy beginning this August!

If you’ve ever considered serving your community, learning lifesaving skills, and becoming part of a dedicated team, this is your opportunity. Participants will receive hands-on training in firefighting, emergency response, teamwork, and more.

Whether you’re looking to become a volunteer firefighter or start a path in the fire service, we encourage you to sign up and join us.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for LaGrange County until 3:00pm.

* At 213 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Marcellus to Constantine to near Millersburg,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Drainage Project Closing 700 S

County Road 700 S is scheduled to be closed between State Road 3 and County Road 550 E from Monday, May 11 at 7:00am until Saturday, May 16 at 5:00pm. The time frame is weather permitting. No through traffic throughout the closure.
