In September 2025, Lafayette Parks, Arts, Recreation, & Culture - PARC launched CivicRec — a new online reservation and registration platform — and the results are already strong:

✔ Enhanced public access and scheduling accuracy

The platform will continue expanding in 2026 to include the Nature Station and campgrounds.

This week, a lot of attention is on ’s Made For More Ultra lottery, and we’re cheering on every runner who’s throwing their name in.

A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra returns on August 1: mosquitos, humidity, headlamps, and the kind of challenge that asks you to settle in and keep moving.

Registration opens January 6 at 6:00 AM...intentionally timed as a soft landing for anyone whose lottery luck didn’t go their way.

If a summer night on the trail sounds like your kind of hard, mark your calendar.🌙

As the year winds down, we’re already thinking about summer miles and long nights. We’re so grateful to have shared the trail with so many of you this year!

SAVE THE DATE: A Louisiana Summer Night Ultra will take place on August 1.

Before that, we’re excited to see our friends at launch Made For More, a brand-new last man standing ultra. Their lottery opens January 2 and closes January 4, with selections on January 5. Please support our friends as they bring this exciting new race to life.
