Please be aware!! The OMV is implementing the new OMV system next week. On Monday, we will be unavailable for any motor vehicle registration or license plate. We WILL BE OPEN FOR NOTARY!!

All OMV customer service centers will be CLOSED on Monday, September 14, 2026, for system modernization efforts and staff training.

All private companies contracted to do business with the OMV (Public Tag Agents and Auto Title Companies) will be unable to perform driver's license, reinstatement, vehicle registration, and title transactions from Saturday, September 12, 2026, through Monday, September 14, 2026.

Additionally, OMV's website, Expresslane.la.gov, and LA Wallet will be temporarily unavailable from Saturday, September 12, 2026, through Sunday, September 13, 2026.

‼️ We are currently seeing an uptick on improper true copies made of notarized documents and improperly notarized titles and documents made for the purpose of titling movables!! 🚗🚙🚌

🚫 Notaries cannot notarize as a true copy: any court document or another notary’s executed document. Only the clerk of court can true copy a court document and only the same notary can notarize a true copy of their own executed documents.

🚫 Notaries must not stamp over signatures, whether affiant, buyer, seller, notary, or any pertinent information needed on the title or affidavit.

We cannot accept any of these for a title transfer. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Please call our office or bring your paperwork by for any questions. Our mission is to help you!! ✍️

-Notice of vehicle transfer
