In 7 days I’ll be “leaving on a jet plane…” headed for down under to see my beautiful kids and fambam!!🥳🇦🇺

It’s the first time I’ve been back since I arrived in Louisiana on the 13th June last year. It’s amazing how quickly time flashes by and I can’t wait to see everyone again!!🥰

- New Orleans to San Francisco 4h 40min.
- SFO to Melbourne, Aust 15h 55min.

Because of the time zones I leave New Orleans at 7pm Monday and arrive in Melbourne at 8am Wednesday!🤯

Unfortunately it’s a quick trip and I’ll only be there for 8 days but we will certainly be cramming a lot of fun into it and I can’t wait!!🥳💟

Weather will be ‘slightly’ different in Melbourne than here atm….🥵 it’s winter back home so I’ll be getting off the plane to chilly temps in the low 50’s Fahrenheit and low teens Celsius❄️ Better take a jacket!!🥶

Have to thank my US travel agent and bestie-buddy Matt Primeaux who booked the tickets online for me! 🎟️ I better check he hasn’t booked the flights to somewhere other than Australia as I know he’d get hysterical delight from a prank like that!!😝

Today I switched off the sprint truck to work with the handsome Nick and what a day it’s been! I don’t think I have perspired this much in my life working some challenging calls in the 91 degrees Fahrenheit with 60% humidity!🔆🥵

Nick has been in EMS 19 years and a paramedic for 18 years. Like others I have worked with, Nick’s experience, wisdom, and clinical skills shine brightly and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you today!⛑️ But next time can you turn the temperature down a bit for me!!🔆🤣

Fire Chief Scott Brewer from St Tammany Parish Fire District 9 is a very very kind man!👌🏼

He drove past and noticed I was posted on the roadside in an Acadian Ambulance sprint truck. Being a true gentleman and concerned for my welfare, he turned his car around, came back, and gave me a box of yummy Nutri Grain bars so I don’t fade away!!🌟

I now have one in my lunch every day for when Jamie tells me I’m getting hangry!!😝

Thanks Chief… you’re a champion and I appreciate your kind gesture!!👏🍫

It’s such an invigorating feeling when the alarm goes off at 3:30am!⏰😵 Beautiful morning to walk to work and had a quick chat to my work buddies Nick and Aliyah who pulled up in their ambulance to say hi.🚑

5am start today for 12 hours on the sprint truck. First stop was Circle K for a 🥤 to get the day started. Must be time for my second breakfast by now!!😆
