During Monday night's Commission meeting, Commissioner Sam Bradford read a proclamation recognizing next week as Men's Health Week. This observance serves as an important reminder of the value of preventive care, healthy lifestyles, and regular health screenings. We appreciate Commissioner Bradford's efforts to raise awareness and encourage men throughout Chambers County to prioritize their health and well-being.

Last night, the Chambers County Commission and Sheriff Nelson recognized Jeff Hinkle for his many years of dedicated service to the Chambers County Alabama Sheriff's Office as he enters retirement.

At last night's Chambers County Commission meeting, Kathy Hornsby was officially appointed as the countywide Director of Chambers County 911 and EMA. We are incredibly proud of Kathy and look forward to seeing the leadership, vision, and dedication she will bring to this important role.

Having served as Deputy Director for many years, Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge, firsthand experience, and a deep understanding of the needs of our communities. Her commitment to public service and emergency preparedness has already made a lasting impact across Chambers County, and we are excited to see her continue that work as Director. Congratulations, Kathy, on this well-deserved accomplishment!
