Investing in stronger communities starts with continued learning. 💡
Chambers County Community Corrections Program Director Jetta Wood and Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tommy Weldon are attending the Project Possibilities Sustainability Conference this week.
The conference focuses on public safety, recovery, community reintegration, and strategies to strengthen support systems for justice-involved individuals. We appreciate Jetta and Tommy representing Chambers County and bringing back valuable knowledge to better serve our community!
ℹ️ What is Project Possibilities?
"Project Possibilities has provided treatment opportunities for those who use opioids and stimulants to decrease rates of recidivism throughout the state of Alabama. Through a combined effort by ADMH, VitAL, ABPP, ROSS, and PEIR, Project Possibilities has provided education and training for professionals in and around the justice system.
This project works to develop, implement, and expand a combination of law enforcement diversion programs and provide real-time data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Project Possibilities has worked to incorporate medication-assisted treatment/medications for opioid use disorder, as well as peer support recovery services, into existing service systems in the State of Alabama."
