Although the LPSO's jurisdiction consists of the entire parish of Lafayette, in order to not duplicate services provided by local city police, the primary enforcement area is the unincorporated sections of the parish. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office would like the public's assistance to locate Emily Gauthier, 16, missing from Youngsville, LA. (Hair: Brown; Eyes: Brown; Height: 5'8"; Weight: 140lbs)

Emily was last seen on June 10th, 2026 wearing a black top and black yoga pants.

Today, some of our deputies teamed up with Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office in honoring a true American hero, Mr. Prigeon Fontenot, a 100-year-old World War II veteran, as he prepared to return to Normandy for a special visit.
