Coastal Machine & Supply, Inc., a Medora Manufacturing company, announced it will invest $25.5 million to expand its operations in Carencro, building on more than two decades of Louisiana manufacturing expertise to capture new growth in aerospace and defense.

💪 129 direct new jobs will be created, with 58 current positions retained
📍 Louisiana Economic Development estimates an additional 111 indirect new jobs, for a total of 240 potential new job opportunities in the Acadiana Region
📈 Increasing capacity to manufacture large, complex precision components while supporting additional workforce and engineering needs
🚧 Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed before August 2027

Located just off Highway 90 in Broussard, the HAS Ltd. Business site is now considered "shovel-ready" after completing a rigorous review process to answer as many development questions as possible for prospective businesses. Because the due diligence is already done, companies can create local jobs, expand our tax base, and bring economic opportunity to residents faster than traditional development would allow.
