In 2017, I pitched my music instrument library at 24 Hour Citizen Project. I won $5,000 to get started, and I formed a partnership with Acadiana Center for the Arts + Lafayette Public Library to bring the Lafayette Community M.I.Brary to life!

We are at nearly 800 instrument check-outs since launching in 2018!

Come check out my band Dr. C & the Gris Gris this Saturday at Hideaway on Lee! Help us raise money for repairs and for new instruments!

Meet Zydeco Izreal, opening the Lafayette Community M.I.Brary fundraiser concert this Saturday!

Izreal got his start by checking out an accordion at the MIBrary in 2023! He now hosts zydeco jams regularly.

“I started the jams In March of this year as a way for musicians and the community to come together and preserve the culture. It's amazing because you never know who is gonna come jam.”
