🥞 Great Breakfast Turnout This Morning!

We truly appreciate everyone who came out to support our department this morning. A huge THANK YOU to all of our members and volunteers who helped make the breakfast such a success — it takes a team, and we’re grateful for every one of you.

❄️ EXTREME COLD TO CONTINUE – SERIOUS AND LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS ❄️

A prolonged period of extreme cold is ongoing and forecast to continue for the next 10 days. These conditions present significant risks to health, safety, and property, and should be taken seriously by all residents.

Extended exposure to extreme cold can cause frostbite and hypothermia within minutes, even for otherwise healthy individuals. Cold-related emergencies often occur quickly and without warning.

⚠️ Populations at Increased Risk

Extra caution is urged for:

Older adults

Infants and young children

Individuals with chronic medical conditions

People without reliable heat

Those experiencing homelessness

Outdoor workers

Pets and livestock

🛑 Critical Safety Actions

Residents are strongly encouraged to take the following precautions:

• Limit time outdoors and avoid unnecessary travel
• Dress in layers and cover exposed skin if you must go outside
• Check on elderly neighbors, relatives, and those living alone
• Ensure pets are indoors and livestock are properly sheltered
• Protect pipes by allowing faucets to drip and insulating exposed plumbing
• Use space heaters safely—never leave them unattended and keep them away from flammable materials
• Prepare vehicles with emergency kits if travel is unavoidable
