YOU’RE INVITED: LCG invites you to join us for the official groundbreaking of the Prejean Road Roadway & Drainage Improvements Project. This $3 million infrastructure investment will raise and pave Prejean Road from just east of Gourmet Road to Sunflower Estates Lane while adding storm drains beneath the roadway. These improvements are designed to enhance driving conditions and help reduce flooding in the surrounding community.

📣 Thanksgiving Holiday Service Updates

In observance of Thanksgiving Day and Acadian Day, Lafayette Consolidated Government will adjust services on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28, 2025:

🚌 Transit Services
• No LTS services on Thursday.
• Normal service resumes Friday.
• Paratransit riders may schedule/cancel future rides on Thanksgiving Day from 6–10 a.m. by calling 337-235-8976.

🗑️ Garbage & Recycling
• No AWS collection on Thursday.
• Thursday routes will be collected on Friday • Friday routes will be collected on Saturday • Extra bagged trash will be collected on the next service day.

🌱 Dean Domingue Compost Facility
• Closed Nov. 27–29
• Reopens Monday, Dec. 1

🏢 City-Parish Buildings
• Closed Nov. 27–28

• A renewal of the Road & Bridge Maintenance Millage (4.47 mills, ~$12.7M/year) for roads, bridges and rights-of-way.
• A renewal of the Public Health & Safety Millage (3.81 mills, ~$10.8M/year) for drainage, fire protection, public health programs, animal services and more.
• Both renewals aim to continue current funding levels and maintain the services your community relies on.
