Dr. Donald Aguillard has announced his candidacy for the District 9 seat on the Lafayette Parish School Board. The election is October 12, 2019.
Dr. Aguillard has 43 years of experience in public education as a teacher, administrator and district leader. In May 2019, he retired after four years as the Lafayette Parish superintendent. Before that, he spent 11 years as the superintendent of St. Mary Parish schools.
