🧠💙 A child’s brain is being built every single day and everyday interactions matter.

Talking and listening, playing together, offering encouragement, being present, and creating predictable routines all help support healthy development. These ordinary moments help children build language, confidence, problem-solving skills, emotional security, and strong relationships.

Supporting healthy child development is also part of prevention. When children and families have the relationships and support they need to thrive, we help build stronger families and a stronger community.

🥎 CASA at the Battle of the Badges! 🚓🚒💙

What a great night at the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges, where the Lafayette Police Department and Lafayette Fire Department faced off on the softball field for a night of friendly competition, community, and fun!

Tippecanoe County CASA was proud to serve as a Title Sponsor of this year’s event, and we were especially proud to have one of our own, CASA volunteer Jenn Frey, throw out the first pitch! 🥎👏

Mayor Tony Roswarski joined the community in cheering on both teams, and while there was plenty of action on the field, the Police Department took home the win for the second year in a row! 🚓🏆 We have a feeling the Fire Department may already be plotting their comeback for year three. 😉🚒

We even had a feathered guest in our sky box suite! (Was it our Sophie back with us in spirit?!?!) 🪶

We had such a great time spending the evening with members of our community and some of our incredible CASA volunteers.

And speaking of volunteers… we need more of you. 💙

Right now, there are children in Tippecanoe County who need a consistent adult in their corner. You don’t have to be a social worker, attorney, or expert. You just need to be willing to show up, listen, learn, and advocate for a child who needs someone to make sure their voice is heard.

One person can make an extraordinary difference in the life of a child. Why not you?
